Autumnal holidays on the farm in Salzburg

When the first signs of autumn are here, this marks the beginning of an especially nice time in Grossarl. Nature on the mountains surrounds itself in magnificent colours, the mountain peaks offer breathtaking panorama views and the farmers bring in their harvests. We celebrate: we look forward to centuries’ old traditions, delicious produce from the region and an enjoyable time with friends on holiday on the farm in Salzburg.

Harvest Festival: August to October

Enjoy Farm Harvest Days and Church Fair Day in Hüttschlag with displays of craftsman’s handwork and a fun-filled children’s program, sheep-shearing or the traditional Harvest Festival in Grossarl!  The ceremonial return of cattle from the mountain pastures is a traditional spectacle every year: The beautifully decorated animals are driven down from the mountain pasture to the valley where their return is celebrated by the locals and visitors.
