Winter hiking for the whole family

Discover the charms of snowy mountain slopes and alpine chalets

“Alm Valley” is not only in summer a super interesting area for hiking tours but also in winter, Grossarl Valley is a wonderful winter discovery region for the whole family. Approx. 35 km of snow-cleared hiking routes in Grossarltal are just waiting to be discovered, in part along the valley of the Ache and in part up on the mountainside.
A unique opportunity to discover the snowy mountain slopes where nature is untouched – try our snowshoe tours!

The Tourism Association Grossarltal and the Alpine Association Grossarltal-Hüttschlag offer snowshoe trekking tours and courses for both new members and also for more experienced snowshoe trekkers. Families too, can go on organized tours, especially for your family.
Free outdoor program
Berg-Gesund, a regional club for outdoor activities, offers a special program for ski tourers, snowshoe hikers, ice climbers and outdoor friends. How about a fitness hike in the snow? Our guests can participate free of charge. Certified guides show the best tours and give valuable tips for your training at home.

Give a present of holiday enjoyment
Our Holiday Village Holzleb’n is especially delightful in winter when the village is snowed under but the sun shines … Why not give your loved ones a few happy days of “Winter Wonderland” in Grossarl, either in a luxury chalet or in a cozy holiday apartment?
